So, I try to keep the work I post here up to my nit-picky standards... but I had to let this one slide. Word got out that the Santa at our mall was not only a great Santa, but would let you take your own pictures instead of paying $50 for a 4x6 in a paper frame - score! Rather than test their generosity by setting up my own lighting (you know I would), I went ghetto style and just snapped away for Mr. M's Santa pics. Behold, the power of a marshmallow!! (note, these pics were taken 34 seconds apart based on the time stamps)
Pre-marshmallow (frame #8050):

Post-marshmallow (frame #8053, and in 8051 and 8052, he is eating said marshmallow):

For being a good boy, he got a coloring book and elf ears. Gone are the days of the free candy cane, eh? Merry Christmas!

Oh my word, that first picture made me laugh so hard. I love how a marshmallow did the trick to get him to smile! Too cute!!
So funny to see the difference!
That's so cute! Thomas flipped out at the sight of Santa last year. No clue yet what he will do this year. Now I know I need to be armed with marshmallows! Thanks for the heads up!
You did get the best of both worlds! You lucky duck. I LOVE ther first photo. To me, that's a classic Santa photo. I'm sad that I missed out.
I was CRACKING up looking at those pictures - what a little stinker!! At least you know what works for him! He's such a cutie - I love it!!!
lol that is SO funny! I love it, especially how close together the pictures are! Max is too cute!
That is the best picture sequence ever!
We just got our Santa pictures tonight and they did surprisingly well, no bribing necessary. Mr. M looks SO CUTE!
LOL! That's hilarious!
Yeah, what's with the no candy thing??? H got a pencil in KY. How pathetic is that!?!?
p.s. "ghetto style"? Thanks, Tara. You remember how incredibly jealous I am of you, right???? I'm going to be forgiving of that comment and say that I'm just glad I finally have a camera again--even if it's not an awesome DSLR accompanied by lighting equip and all that fun stuff.
Gotta work with what you can sometimes. . . .
