Frolicking through the fields

I had to grab some pictures of the kids before the corn fields went crispy and the hay bales were transported out of the fields. Both of these locations were within 2 miles of my house. Thanks, Iowa!

I avoid asking subjects to say "cheese" because it usually produces the worst smiles ever. (Tip: tell them a joke, have them tell a joke, make animal sounds etc. to get natural smiles and giggles). Alas, I was flying solo on this shoot and the kids were tired/hungry/silly and being... well... kids. So I resorted to having them say "CHEESE!" for a few frames. The results were awesome/terrible. Temporary Retirement and Baby L

Wow, it's been over two years since the last post on here! Short story: we moved to Iowa, got immediately pregnant (and sick) and I went into self-imposed retirement until I felt better / had baby / knew where we'd be living next etc. and suddenly it had been 2 years. I have way too many sessions to post so I'll just skip them all and post my baby girls' newborn pictures because I might be a little biased and think that Baby L is the cutest thing in the world ;) Picture overload, you have been warned.

Mr.M and Miss H in the Fall

How could I have forgotten to post these? My favorite "Mr.M" turned 18 months and in my book that qualifies for a photo shoot, plus I needed an excuse to go test the Fall colors this year. It wouldn't have been possible though, without beautiful "Miss H" along to help model and coax some smiles out of Mr.M, who is now immune to my efforts.

My Mr. M

I had a little session with my sweet little Mr. M. He did great looking at the camera even though no one was behind it making him laugh - I guess he's been trained well :) Gotta love the wireless remote for my camera!

Little "J" and "J"

Baby brother "J" is the BEST. SLEEPER. EVER. He was putty in my hands and seemed to really enjoy sleeping in baskets and pea pod boats. Big brother "J" was very sweet as well and obviously has no fear of being devestatingly cute in front of the camera. Enjoy the preview!
